What does FREEDOM mean?

What does FREEDOM mean to you personally? The thesaurus can give us synonyms for this word such as liberty, self determination, independence, freewill, lack of restrictions or sovereignty.
For me “liberty” as written in the word of God is the truth I choose to live by:
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” NIV
The word “self determination” can be additionally explained as self-rule, self-government, independence, and free will. Our destiny has so much to do with making the right choices. God has made us free and we need to appropriate that freedom into every decision made in our lives..
On July 4th, we celebrated our “independence” in this nation. But, as you know, independence can have a negative aspect to it as well. I believe we can be so independent in our mentality or actions that we need no one. “I can do it myself”, “I don’t need anyone to help me”, “I don’t want to take the time to reach out for help” can become our belief systems and bring loneliness and dissatisfaction in life.
We are free and have “free will” but how do we really live among others? What is the motivation of our heart? Could it mean: My way – not yours, right vs. wrong, law vs. grace for the sake of “free will”? It’s important for us to check our hearts when it comes to freedom.
“Lack of restrictions” means we have no boundaries, no limits because our God is a limitless God. But at the same time, we have certain boundaries and authority we need to honor in our workplaces, marriages, and relationships.
I love the word “sovereignty”. I had to understand that without the sovereign love of the Father, I would have no “real” freedom and no hope. I tried living in the world with “worldly” freedom but I would always feel as if I was living in a dark hole. No lasting freedom was mine.
I am eternally grateful for God’s love for me and I desire to know Him more and walk in the freedom Jesus died for. What about you? What do you struggle with regarding your knowledge of freedom?
Faith Cometh – It’s a New Season!

This next season is key. Look at God’s clock. Shout hallelujah to the end of 2010. Endings are your next beginnings. We must know the spirit of God so we know why we are here.
Year 2011 – ask God for an “open heaven” over your life. Look at how the heavens are going to open up. Heaven and earth are going to align like you’ve never seen. He knows everything.
Testing has affected our finances, health and relationships. We will see a shift in 2011. Bodies will respond to the gift of healing. Relationships will be rocked. There will be a shift in marriages. The Lord is looking how we are processing. Luke 18 – Parable of the Persistent Widow.
We need to get back to simplicity – it is linked with vision. It is time to defeat the works of the enemy. We can triumph – this is the beginning. God is our avenger – our relationship with God will back us up.
If God came down to our mess – would we be in faith? By the end of May we will see everything changing – rearranged – will God find faith in you? Faith always has an object – worshiping self/others/other things – Once we surrender our heart, will we operate in faith?
You have stepped into your future. Many deal with the fear of the future but you will have a greater end than the beginning – enter into the best that is still ahead. Acts 17:24-26
24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.” NIV
He knows where you are to be. God wants to activate your faith. This year there will be signs moving all around you. Now is the time to advance. Vision – we need to see like He sees. What you are ordained to be will come alive.
In 2011 (1) one – when we come together in unity, there is anointing that breaks every yoke. One also refers to the concept of Father – God is going to heal us of our fatherlessness. There will be a fathering and mothering anointing this year. The doorbell is going to ring and the prodigal is coming home.
One also refers to a new kind of strength – surrender – align with authority figures that know Him. Strength = power to withstand attack. No more overcompensating for wounds. We have new vision like eagles. This is a year of journeying – how will you advance? Find your right alignment now. He wants to blow His spirit forward.
You will be at the right place at the right time. Your horizon is going to change. You will see beyond where you are. Begin to speak into the atmosphere. The winds are going to blow from the North/South/East/West.
This is a year of missions – you will go. It is crucial for evangelism. Go bring them the Good News – church get ready!
This is a season of experiencing His Glory. When He visits you, His glory will go deep. There will be sovereign encounters. Glory will permeate 24 hours per day. The Glory is coming to visit you. The ark is now moving. When people come in for ministry, their needs will be met and they will understand how to advance. Nothing from hell can pull out the glory.
Watch for the signs – we are being healed and made whole. The first three (3) months will be a sanctifying time – healing will rest on God’s people to those things that have been a detriment. Shalom – peace beyond what you can explain.
Faith comes. It is not stagnant. Rest in faith – it comes by the Word. Re-write the words (especially those that have been tested). There’s a new faith – we overcome by faith.
Peace – don’t operate like the last 10 years. God is filling us afresh for the next season. Trust, faith, healing is coming. Move into a new season with confidence. We prophesy according to our faith – start speaking what will be – prophesy God’s best into our future.
It’s a new season. You will see fullness. Many changes will occur, watch the signs in your life. They will be very simple and personal.
Worship – listen for the new sound – it will penetrate you. We will be a worshipping troupe moving forward going to high places. Entire atmosphere’s will change. Worship gatherings will change atmosphere’s.
Listen to your dreams. A new dream language in heaven is being released. Get help to interpret. The Word will be plentiful. Prophetic anointing will rest on people.
John 21:1-6
21:1 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Tiberias. It happened this way: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. 3 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. 4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?”
“No,” they answered. 6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.” NIV
He will confront, confront with the Holy Spirit until He knows you hear Him. He will use the simplest things for you to hear. Don’t go back to what you are familiar with. There will be a shift in your vision. You will see stronghold working against you (referring to shifting from the left to the right side). There will be a shift in prayer. He will shift your prayer life.
Watch and war with your prophecies. God will supply. You will find supply in a new way – a multiplication!
Faith is going to explode. God is coming down to alleviate the burden you have been carrying.
You are moving in a new way. Bind the spirit of unbelief in your thoughts.
Dreams will fall on America. There will be a new connecting to heaven. Relationships will be mended, finances released and healing manifested.
Your blessings are now on the way!
Passion for Truth

IT IS FINISHED!
I recently attended a conference where the speaker, Todd White, was talking about the Cross and all that it means in one’s life. To know the depth and width of God’s love and what He accomplished through the Cross. Yes, we’ve all heard, “I was bought with a price”. But this weekend, I really got it in my spirit. There were so many wonderful gems that Todd imparted. One of them was: “the second we said I do, He said I AM”. Wow!
My heart was comforted to really know that He is the great I AM. All that I will ever need. My identity is in Him and I must see myself through His glory, His eyes. I don’t need to entertain the enemy with doubt or unbelief when I look in the mirror or look at my circumstances. It is finished. It doesn’t have any power over me. All that comes against me is to kill, steal and destroy but He came so that I can have life! In every area of my life!!
As the night came to an end, we all stood up and declared, “It is finished”! Over and over I declared that as truth. The more I said it, the louder I got, the more my spirit agreed. I knew that old mindsets were being demolished. Old beliefs about my circumstances and relationships were falling down to the truth of the Cross.
If you are struggling today about your identity, purpose or destiny, ask God to show you who He is and let Him pour out His love for you in a fresh new way. He really wants you to know that IT IS FINISHED!!!
A Day with Jesus

As I was soaking and resting in God’s presence and listening to worship music this morning, the Lord spoke to my heart. It was as if He was giving me a vision of His heart for you and for all people. I would like to share it with you.
“Lord, you have been so faithful and gentle. One that I can always put my trust in. I know you are calling all of us into your wonderful and joy filled life. You are wanting me to walk with you and gather up your loved ones.”
Vision: As Jesus and I are walking along a path, we both go and knock on doors to ask others to follow us. Some willfully come with very little effort. “Others are rejecting Me”, says the Lord, “so they are rejecting you as well.” My heart was broken because some of those rejecting both of us are my family. Jesus just keeps walking and those who want to follow, learn, and be taught by Him are together. Jesus gently begins to teach. He says, “it’s so simple – don’t get so complicated.” He gives us all the instructions we need. He then encourages us to give it out and pour it out to those who follow. He then walks away to rest. We all stop and choose to rest because He is our model.
Morning comes! The dew twinkles, the sun smiles, the birds stretch their wings as if they are getting ready for that new adventure. Little by little nature begins to wake up. Jesus looks over the valley and begins to pray. He declares His goodness. He gives thanks as He keeps us in His heart.
My heart declares, “Lord, there isn’t one prayer you don’t here. You know how to listen and you care so much for us. You knit our hearts together.” Jesus responds, “Every detail of your lives are put together in one large plan. Not one thing is left out. Part of the plan includes not just the smooth places in which you walk but some of those hard and tumultuous times. You will run and you will hide but know this, you are victorious and will win. Shout for joy and victory! Stand and declare the truth to all nations of My great love, power and authority.”
What a glorious day, full of hope, full of simplicity, full of vision with great expectations ahead. Jesus and I are together looking in all directions as we stand in wonder! Wow!
My encouragement to you is this: Follow Him today. Let Him guide your steps. Let Him reveal His heart for you. Stop and listen to His words. Walk side by side with Him and He will show you great and glorious things.

Awake, Awake, Oh America……..

Awake, Awake, Oh America. Awaken to My love. You have been asleep too long! Awaken to My love for this nation. Dig old wells that have stopped flowing. Wells of My Truth, My Liberty, My Freedom, and My purposes for this great nation.
Because you have slept too long, too many of my people have fallen away from true love and hope. My people are lost, broken, fearful, angry and orphaned. They have forsaken their first love and believed the lies of this world.
Awake, Awake oh sleeper. Stand firm on your foundation. Stand for that which is pure. Stand on My promises for this land. Awaken to My love…..for you are My people and I AM your God!
Uncertainty…….

Many things are happening in our world right now. Earthquakes, oil spill, tornadoes, volcanos, and weather that no one can predict. It is a time of unpredictability and uncertainty.
We can have many reactions to these times. One of fear, one of anger, one of passivity, etc. or we can also live in trust, faith, and assurance that our God knows what He is up to.
My personal life has been one in transition as well. All areas – mentally, emotionally, physically, relationally and spiritually. Honestly, at times, I go between passivity and assurance; fear and faith.
But when it all shakes down, I always end up with the truth of God’s Word and His love for me. I can experience His peace in all my circumstances even though my emotions say something else. Will you join me?
Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” NKJV

The Narrow Path

Winter River Road
Driving around this morning was very interesting. Ice here and there, patches of dry pavement, and then that infamous “black ice”. Many drivers were following others’ tire marks, some were making new ones, and still others got way off the beaten path. You could even see that many lost control and ended up in a ditch!
There were so many times in my life that I followed those same patterns. Periodically, I would follow and stay close to the path set before me. At other times, I would venture out and make a new path. Many times, probably more than I want to admit, I ended up in a ditch.
Today, I am so grateful that I know I can count on God to guide and direct my every step. I don’t have to fear that slippery road today. I can rest assured knowing that I am in His hands and I willingly choose the narrow path set before me. How about you?
A Word for the Nations

The Father is saying, “I have extended My right hand into your midst. Grab ahold of My right hand. In My right hand I have salvation; I have righteousness, freedom from your past, from life’s torments, from your current torments.
I will lift you out of the mire and set you upon that solid Rock, that Rock which is Jesus Christ. If you will take a hold of My hand I will draw you unto Myself, I will hold you next to My heart, for I tell you I have a place in My heart for you.
For I know the thoughts that I have for you: thoughts of hope, thoughts to prosper you, thoughts of a bright future for you, of My love for you. My love for you is unconditional and never-ending; draw unto Me and I will draw unto you.
I will bring healing to your hurts, healing to your heart, for I say unto you I will restore what the locust has stolen. For I am the Lord; I am your heavenly Father; there is none other like Me. Take My hand and I will lift you up unto Myself, for it will be done as I say.”
